GINGOOG CITY, NORTHERN MINDANAO
First Destination: Cebu
Pacific Flight 387 Shrine at Mt. Lumot
The
Briefest Story about Cebu Pacific Flight 387: February 2, 1998 Cebu Pacific
Flight387 from NAIA in Manila to Lumbia Airport in CDO crashed on the slope of
the mountain killing 104 people on board. After making our tummy full, we
started our real adventure and went to our first destination – the Cebu Pacific
Flight 387 Shrine at Barangay Libertad which is at the foot of Mt. Lumot, a 25
km uphill from the city public market. Read more Click HERE!
Second Destination:
Tiklas Falls
I
was even more disappointed knowing I will not be able to enjoy the water of the
waterfall because it is no longer safe for swimming. Even the swimming pool fronting the waterfall
is unusable. We asked the person in charge at the main entrance why they
abandoned the tourist site and they told us that the reason why they made such
action is due to the very alarming cases of tourist who were drowned while
swimming at the bottom of the waterfall. Read more Click HERE!
Third Destination:
Jinland Swimming Pool
It
really felt so good after I have reached some of the most remote places of
Gingoog City that day like the Cebu Pacific Flight 387 Shrine at Brgy. Lunotan
which is about 25km uphill from the City Public Market and if we hike about
7hrs more we'll be able to reach the peak of Mt. Lumot, next is the
"abandoned and most disappointing" Tiklas Falls which is about 9km
away from the city proper and lastly the Jinland Cold Spring Resort at Brgy.
Libertad which is another 2.5km away from Tiklas Falls! More to go! XD Read

Timoga Cold Spring
Resort - Iligan City
It’s
as a small resort compared to Maze Park but they have their “own
uniqueness” from the other resort like
for example the water in their pools is from the spring so that means that the
water is spring cold and of course flowing. Nothing beats Iligan City in terms
of abundance of fresh waters. Imagine, the city itself has about 23 waterfalls,
the reason why Iligan City is dubbed as “The City of Majestic Waterfalls”. Read
